Day 3 - Yeppoon to Emerald

Deciding it was time to get a move on, although not a very big move, I headed straight inland for Emerald and said good bye to Yeppoon.

Leaving after lunch from Yeppoon after a recovery morning and some 'small' delays...

I finally set off for Emerald around 2 pm, not much in between here I haven't already seen, but the Capricorn Highway held a few fun twists after Gogango.

The Blackdown Tableland NP presented some interesting rock formations that would no doubt have presented some fun exploration, but I was already fighting to get in before dusk. Maybe next time.

Quick stop in Duaringa for fuel, then through Wallaroo, Dingo and Comet (no translation needed for these names).

Arriving in Emerald, I grabbed a basic motel and went for a walk through the Botanic Gardens to stretch out.

Getting dark, found a nice Tapas bar and pigged out on a few share plates just for me...

An early start to tomorrow to Longreach, to catch the Qantas Founders and Stockmans Museums.
