Day 36 - Burra Rest Day
I'm waiting for new tyres to get fitted, so am having a rest day to get prepared for the run home through the back of Bourke.
Quick Stats
- 4 minutes on bike
- 2 km
- 12842 km total
I'm in Burra till at least 2 PM when the bike will be ready, so I've booked another night here to rest a bit and explore the town I'm stuck in.

Burra isn't particularly different from most country towns in the Mt Lofty Ranges above Adelaide, save for the fact it probably has some of the most and best preserved Victorian era structures in Australia.

The town hasn't really grown for over a hundred years, so most people make do with living and operating business from the antique (by Australian standards at least) housing. Each of the historic buildings includes a plaque with the construction date and historical information about it. Some buildings still maintain their original purpose.

While others just hold the facade.

I wander around for a good few hours, set up in a cafe for another couple hours, then head back for a nap and to do some washing.

I'll cook dinner again tonight, it was good having some fresh veggies last night.
